Southeast Asia commercial advisory for European family businesses

Build a stronger commercial position in Southeast Asia.

AQG works with founder-led and family-owned European companies entering the region or strengthening an existing business. The work connects ownership priorities in Europe with customers, partners and execution in market.

Asia needs a clear commercial path.

AQG is relevant before entry, when performance slips, or when a market change calls for a new direction. We establish where to compete, how to position, and what the business must execute well.

Entry

The company wants to enter Asia with the right commercial model from the start.

Management needs evidence on market priority, positioning, route to market and the conditions for investment.

Performance

Asia results trail the company’s home market or regional potential.

Leadership needs a clear view of demand, segment choice, positioning and local execution.

Channel

A distributor relationship has stalled or lost clear ownership.

Priorities have diverged, visibility is limited and accountability has weakened.

Change

A structural shift has changed what success in the market requires.

Regulation, local-content rules or new leadership has altered the commercial path.

The commercial question

Where can the business create or recover value?

AQG follows the path from market choice to commercial result. The work identifies the decisions that will materially improve entry, positioning and performance.

Market

Is the opportunity real?

Demand, segment priority, regulation and local economics.

Positioning

Does the offer land?

Customer relevance, value case, pricing and competitive fit.

Structure

Can the route to market deliver?

Channel capability, distributor accountability and decision rights.

Execution

Does the work move?

Account ownership, pipeline evidence and commercial follow-through.

Three forms of involvement.

Each form of involvement is scoped around the decision, the markets involved and the level of implementation required.

Scope sets the fee. The number of markets, business units and distributor relationships determines the depth of work required.

Our approach

One commercial question, carried through to a working result.

Start with the specific gap

The conversation begins with the issue visible in the business, the market or the commercial structure.

Establish the cause

Market, positioning and execution are examined together before management commits to a fix.

Build for the client team

The structure is installed with the people who will own it and tested in live commercial work.

Remain where the outcome requires it

AQG can continue through implementation and selected opportunity development.

Family business perspective

Understands the ownership conversation. Works directly in the Asian market.

Glen Qoku works at the intersection of European ownership and Southeast Asian commercial execution. His career spans strategy consulting, M&A and hands-on business development across Europe, China and Southeast Asia.

He is also a shareholder in an Italian family business and has lived the transition from founder-led ownership to the next generation. That experience shapes how AQG works with owners: directly, confidentially and with an understanding of the decisions behind the commercial brief.

Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Glen has originated cross-border opportunities from first contact, built the commercial case, negotiated terms and supported agreements through signature.
